Across the borough there are formal gardens, town parks, informal nature conservation, country parks and children's play areas.
Hillingdon Council has scooped Green Flag Awards for its parks and open spaces (see map), bringing its current collection to 60 - the highest in the UK. Hillingdon also has a National Nature Reserve at Ruislip Woods, and over 40 Sites of Importance for Nature Conservation (SINCs), all of which are open to the public.

3. Stronger Families Hub
Hillingdon Council's Stronger Families Hub operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to provide families in Hillingdon with information, advice and support.
The hub can provide a parent/carer and their families in Hillingdon, with lots of different help about a range of things, including:
- concerns about your child's general behaviour
- support and advice with parenting
- difficulties at home, such as daily routines
- domestic abuse
- worries about your child's school attendance or achievement in education
- bullying or online abuse
- teenage concerns, such as going missing, taking drugs, or associations with gangs
- support if your child has (or you feel they may have) additional needs
Residents can also contact the stronger families hub if they're worried about another child who may be at risk.
